ICF Lebanon is a non-profit organization founded in March 2010 through the collaborative efforts of practicing coaches in Lebanon. It started as the: “Lebanese Coach Association” or LCA (The Change Facilitators). LCA was, and still is, the single coaching organization in Lebanon and is among the very few in the Arab countries and the MENA region. In April 2017, after persistent efforts, the ICF Chapter Lebanon launched. However, the official launch took place on the 31st of January 2018 . Its members aim and dedicate their efforts to advance and bring awareness to “coaching” as a profession. This chapter includes coaches specialized in life coaching, career coaching, wellness coaching, business coaching, and many more.
ICF Lebanon creates a safe space and provides support for the continuous development of professional coaches in the advancement of coaching in Lebanon.
ICF Lebanon provides a trusted forum for/of professional coaches to maintain coherent and consistent coaching standards to inspire positive changes towards a growing society
Dr. Zeina Ghossoub El- Aswad is the founder and former president of ICF Lebanon; guided by the chapter’s strategic initiatives and aligned with ICF global’s strategic goals; she sets the vision for the chapter and oversees the day-to-day operation as all Board and committee members along with member volunteers carry out that vision.
As the President she presides at all Board meetings and chapter memberships and is the official communication channel for the chapter. She signs instruments or documents that are lawfully executed on behalf of the chapter. She encourages coach training and credentialing to increase the professionalism of coaching, and promotes the benefits of membership to support membership growth.
She speaks in public on behalf of the organization and advocates for the cause. By modeling appropriate behavior, the president sets high standards for board conduct and intervenes if conflicts of interest or confidentiality issues arise.
